Keep your secrets: Google “My Activities” can now also be password protected

security is never enough. Google is well aware of this, and is pushing more and more to offer its users the best tools to keep their privacy safe . The “My activities” page of the personal profile has in fact been updated to offer the addition of a further password verification before showing all the actions of your account.

By visiting the “My activities” section of your profile Google , and clicking on the banner that reads “Google protects your privacy and your safety. Manage the verification of My activities “ you can then decide to increase the security of this section.

If you turn on additional verification, Google will make sure your identity before you can view or delete your complete history in My Activities. This way your history will be safer on shared devices.
This setting only applies to My Activities. History may continue to show in other Google products.

By choosing to activate this extra verification , you will be prompted to enter the password of your Google account to set it. Once done, the upper half of the page will load normally, while the lower part containing the activity list will remain locked until the password is entered . This measure may be useful if you are using a shared computer .
