TCL 20 Pro 5G shines on DxOMark: display and camera to applause!

TCL 20 Pro has been reviewed by the DxOMark portal, a reference point in the evaluation of the photographic sector and smartphone display. The mid-range of the Chinese company has achieved really interesting scores, which hold up to those achieved by much more expensive models.

Let's start with the display: the TCL 20 Pro 5G screen is a 6.67 ″ curved AMOLED with 20: 9 aspect ratio, 1080 × 2400 resolution and @ 60Hz refresh rate. Despite the lower refresh rate than several models released in recent months, the screen of this smartphone reached an overall score of 89, thanks to elements such as excellent color rendering and good readability, being defined as the “New color leader”.

This is a superior result compared to top of the range such as Xiaomi Mi 11, which stops at 87, iPhone 12 Pro Max (88) and Huawei P40 Pro (85). Furthermore, there is not a great distance from models with excellent quality panels on board, such as Galaxy S21 (91) and Note 20 (90).

The camera also defends itself very well with its 117 points, better than Galaxy S21 + equipped with SoC Exynos, Pixel 4 and Huawei P30 Pro, giving way only to top of the range such as Mi 11 Ultra and MAte 40 Pro +. The photographic compartment of the smartphone consists of a 48MP main lens, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, a 5MP macro lens and a 2MP depth sensor for the bokeh effect.

The one made by TCL is therefore an excellent device, which in this price range struggles to find products capable of undermining it: the selling price is € 549, a figure that for many could represent a real bargain!
