Instagram has announced that everyone will be able to insert links within their Stories on the social network, a function that until now was limited to verified accounts or with more than 10 thousand followers. The option is being released and may therefore take a few hours before it appears on all accounts.
Once the function is activated, to insert a link, simply create a new Story and then select the stickers icon at the top right. Among the predefined ones there will be the “Link” sticker, which will allow you to insert a link to a web page. The sticker has existed since the summer and has replaced access to a link by “swiping up” the Story.
Instagram says the new option will especially benefit companies and stores, who will be able to link to their products directly within the Stories. The function will in any case be available for everyone and for the most varied purposes, which is why the social network has made it clear that accounts that do not make legitimate use of it may be suspended or deprived of the system. At the moment, Instagram has no intention of introducing links in other areas of its social network, such as the comments area of individual posts.
