Apple recalled some MacBook Pro laptops that were mostly sold between September 2015 and February 2017 due to a battery safety issue. The model involved in the recall is the “MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015)” and on the Apple website you can accurately check whether your computer is among those with the problem (you do this by entering the serial number) . The defect concerns the possible overheating of the battery, which in some cases could cause a fire. Apple will change the battery of the affected computers free of charge.
