A federal judge in a US appeals court ruled in favor of merging the telephone company AT&T with the telecommunications company Time Warner, now known as WarnerMedia. In favor of the merger, which has been talked about for years, a judge had already expressed himself last June, at the end of a trial to verify whether the agreement posed problems of unfair competition in the pay-TV sector, as indicated by the department of United States Justice. The Justice Department, however, had appealed the decision, but today's ruling also proved WarnerMedia right. It is one of the largest producers of films, TV series and other television content in the world: it holds the properties of CNN, HBO and Warner Bros, among others.
