Il Sole 24 Ore announced that the e-commerce company Amazon has registered with the Italian register of postal operators in Italy, as can be learned from the latest update of the list released by the Ministry of Economic Development. Amazon Italia Logistica and Amazon Italia Transport, both based in Milan and owned by Jeff Bezos, entered the list that includes the 4,463 companies operating in Italy in the logistics sector. Last summer, the Authority for Communications Guarantees (Agcom) fined the two companies for abusing the postal parcel delivery business. The fine amounted to 300 thousand euros and also included the obligation to register in the register of postal operators.
