The cofounder and former CEO of Oculus – the company famous for its virtual reality (VR) headsets bought by Facebook in 2014 – has left Facebook. Nate Mitchell, the other founder of Oculus, will continue to work for the Facebook section dedicated to virtual reality that deals with the development of Oculus products. Iribe confirmed the news with a message on Facebook in which he talks about the need to take a break after six years of intense work (Oculus was founded in 2012). According to TechCrunch, however, Iribe would have decided to leave after Facebook's decision to stop development of the Oculus Rift 2, which Iribe was working on.
