Some iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max don't charge their battery when plugged into the charger, they are reporting several owners of the new Apple smartphones on the company's tech support forum. The malfunction occurs when the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are in standby and locked: if you connect the Lightining cable for charging, nothing happens and you need to unlock the phone to make it recharge. The problem appears to affect a limited number of users and to be due to an error in the software of iOS 12, the operating system that makes them work. Apple has not commented on the news, but The Verge reports that in the trial version of iOS 12.1 the problem does not occur: it should therefore disappear with the next update.
