Google has made it clearer how and why it tracks user location history, even when users have unchecked the main option that agrees to provide that data. It had been talked about in the last few days after an Associated Press investigation. Google continues to collect information on the locations of users who use apps such as Google Maps in the same way; but now he has changed the wording used on his site, and explains that “some positions could be saved” even if the user decides not to share his positions, to be used by some Google services.
