This morning several people from all over Italy reported that Vodafone was “down”, that is, not working. Those who have Vodafone as their telephone operator have had problems connecting to data traffic to access the Internet, and in some cases they have not been able to contact customer support. The same type of malfunction had affected telephone companies 3 and Wind yesterday for several hours.
The reports reached a peak around 11; for the most part they came from Northern Italy and the areas of Rome and Naples. Vodafone then announced that it had “solved the network outage that this morning, for about 45 minutes, affected some Vodafone customers”.
