Apple is working on its own credit card in partnership with Goldman Sachs, one of the largest and richest investment banks in the United States. The news is unofficial, but was leaked by the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, based on some of their internal sources. The new card will work with the Apple Pay system, to pay directly with iPhones, and should be available as early as the first few months of next year. In recent times, Goldman Sachs had shown signs of being very interested in the credit card sector, with the acquisition of the startup Credit, which deals with innovative systems for card payments. It is currently unclear whether the new credit card will only be available in the US or globally.
