TweetDeck's great redesign kicks off its beta with news you've been waiting for a long time

What is promised is debt and Twitter has fulfilled what was announced last March. TweetDeck will receive its first redesign in many years and today, finally, the platform has started the beta for a limited number of people. Although the social network made a random selection, some lucky ones are sharing the different news.

The new TweetDeck, in addition to boasting an interface that inherits the visual language of Twitter on the web and mobile applications, also offers new functions that many will welcome with open arms. On the other hand, it is important that you know that the overall TweetDeck experience remains intact . That is, the display of content organized by columns is preserved, leaving the interactive elements in a left sidebar.

One of the biggest new features in the TweetDeck redesign beta is the new columns . At your disposal you will have, for example, proposals to individually display your saved items (Bookmarks), drafts and even specific topics. The Explore column is also added, from which you can observe the trends that you currently find in the tab of the same name on mobile devices or in web variants.

Another great TweetDeck addition don the Decks . We are talking about personalized spaces in which you can manage columns associated with different themes. For example, a News Deck might have columns of media profiles and trends. Are you a fan of movies and want to stay informed of the latest news from the film industry? You can make a Deck with the columns that cover that wish. One way to exemplify the operation of the Decks is the multiple Windows and macOS desktops to manage your various activities.

On the other hand, it will also be possible to change the order in which the tweets are displayed , just as it happens in apps. You can set the most recent or the most relevant to appear first. TweetDeck will also allow you to modify the name and width of the column ; even if its content should be updated —or not— automatically.

Can threads be made? Yes, don't worry, the new TweetDeck gets on the thread post train. Also added is the emoji and gifs selector , the possibility of publishing polls and citing tweets with images. It is important to mention that the redesign is in the testing phase and more news could be added in the coming weeks. Of course, we do not know when the final version will be available to the public.
