New Bose QuietComfort 45: now with transparency mode to compete against AirPods Max

Bose has launched its new generation of high-end wireless headphones , the Bose QuietComfort 45 . It is a slight update that inherits some of the features of the QuietComfort 35 II, such as sound quality, design or controls, and adds important improvements in noise cancellation and autonomy.

One of the most notable novelties of these new wireless headphones from Bose is the new transparency mode that add to the active noise cancellation and that will allow the company to compete against Apple's AirPods Max.

Specifically, the Bose QuietComfort 45 have a noise cancellation mode called “Silence”. In this case, the company combines the audio captured by the microphones with a new digital chip to isolate the sound from the outside and allow the user to focus solely on the music. Noise cancellation can also be applied during calls. To do this, the headphones isolate the outside sound so that the microphone picks up only what is important: the voice.

The “Transparency” mode of the Bose QuietComfort 45 is similar to that offered by Apple in its headphones. In this case, the microphones are activated and let the sound through so that the user can hear correctly with the QuietComfort 45 set. It is possible to switch between the two noise cancellation modes via a button located on the side.

Bose QuietComfort 45: up to 24 hour battery and USB-C

The new Bose QuietComfort 45 have a autonomy of up to 24 hours of playback or up to 20 hours of conversation . They include, as a novelty, a USB-C port for charging. Bose emphasizes that it is possible to get an additional 3 hours of playback with just 15 minutes of charge, while a full charge takes two hours.

The design of the Bose QuietComfort 45 has not changed much from the previous generation. They weigh 338 grams and maintain the characteristic cream and black tones. The manufacturer continues to opt for the playback, volume and Bluetooth connection buttons in the right area. On the left side, on the other hand, the button is included that will allow to switch between noise cancellation modes and deactivate the microphone during calls.

The Bose QuietComfort 45 can be purchased during the month of September at a price of $ 329.95 .
