Google tries to put Lens almost everywhere. Spotted in the web search bar

Google seems intent on bringing Lens into our lives. After seeing it on Chrome desktop , now the Mountain View house is studying the possibility of adding it to the web search . As reported by a user who was browsing in incognito mode , on google.com a Lens icon appeared in the search field next to the vocal microphone . The icon is the last one presented, that of the full body camera also used by the Google app, unlike the rounded square logo present in the Pixel Launcher, in the application itself and in Google Photos.

Pressing on the icon appears an invitation to search any image with Google Lens, with the possibility to drag an image or load from the device using the appropriate selector. Once loaded, the user interface is the usual one. The image is displayed on the left , while the recognition frames (if available) are displayed on the top right followed by a grid of visual matches . Lens.google.com also allows you to upload another image and search for something else.

A gray (different) camera icon today can be found at images.google.com , while the results page already allows you to search on Google Lens .

We reiterate that at the moment the new search is not available to everyone. These are just Google's experiments, but the larger design should be to increase the importance of Lens and deliver a consistent experience across all platforms, in addition to the one already seen on Chrome in the context menu that we had shown at the beginning.
