New for Twitter: Now anyone can access direct messages more easily

Period of intense news for Twitter . Following the launch of the new bot labels and the negative ratings , the company founded by Jack Dorsey is now launching i blocked direct messages . The feature was previously available only to Twitter Blue subscribers , but is now open to everyone on Android, iOS and on the web .

The functionality does not seem to be fully implemented yet , but it should gradually expand across platforms. On the iOS app, for example, you can slide a conversation sideways to reveal a placeholder, and if you tap it, the conversation will be moved to a new “Blocked Conversations” section at the top of the direct message inbox.

This feature is a useful way to keep a handful of conversations easily accessible, even if the number is limited to only six .
