Realme is no longer new in the smartphone landscape, and with the exception of the X50 Pro model, the top of the range in all respects, it seems that the brand has decided to colonize the mid-range of the market, releasing mid-range terminals, albeit at entry level prices. It continues even further with the new Realme 7 and Realme 7 Pro models. The latter, in particular, is of great interest, because in the face of a particularly advantageous price, it really has a lot to say.
Realme 7 Pro proposes, first of all, a form factor that is hardly found within the smartphone landscape. In fact, it offers a rather light and manageable line, and contained measures. In the hand it holds really well, not being particularly large and bulky. For this reason, already, it could be the right choice for those looking for a smartphone that does not have exaggerated dimensions.
Despite the entry level price, 7 Pro does not, however, give up interesting features. It starts from the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G , the same under the previous 6 Pro, of which the new model follows the performance.
There are, however, clear improvements compared to the past. First there is a 6.4 inch SuperAMOLED display, a 65W charger, two stereo speakers and a 32MP selfie camera . All this, enclosed in a design, certainly not original, but certainly captivating, also due to the Mirror Blue color, with a geometric and modern texture on the back. Then there is some small detail, not too obvious, but which denotes attention from the brand: the power button is gold. The writer does not like this color, but in this Realme 7 Pro it is well used, with an appreciable detail.
It must be said that Realme 7 Pro is made entirely of plastic. To the touch, however, it doesn't feel like a budget smartphone, and it doesn't creak. Moreover, the plastic construction also makes it lighter.
But let's get to the point. Realme 7 Pro offers a splendid Super AMOLED display, from 6.4 ″ , with screen-to-body ratio of 90.8% , and 409ppi , much better than others offered on smartphones of the same price range, but with a more noble name. It does not support HDR 10 , but if you look at the colors, especially the blacks of this Realme 7 Pro, you can certainly be satisfied.
Another element in favor of this terminal is the audio . As already mentioned, Realme has chosen to insert a traditional speaker on the lower part, next to the USB-C input , and to insert a second one inside the ear capsule . The audio does not have a very high volume, but it is still appreciable, and it will certainly delight gamers and those who watch movies and multimedia content on the move. Moreover, always at the audio level, we must not forget the presence of the 3.5 mm headphone jack .
Performance
At the level of daily use, Realme 7 Pro is doing really well. It is not one of the most lightning fast, it is perceived in the passage from one app to another, or even in the typing of texts, where the maximum speed is not perceived. Considering the price, however, it is a terminal that does not propose limits to the user and that can certainly also be used as a first machine. There are no problems whatsoever in web browsing, in the use of any social app, as well as the videogame side could give satisfactions. We tried with successful titles of the caliber of PUGB , without seeing any slowdown, neither in game, nor on the loading screens. It will also be thanks to the 8 GB of RAM on the version we tested.
Camera
This terminal is also appreciable on the camera side. Realme made good use of the 64MP sensor. It is a 2nd gen Sony IMX682 sensor, 1 / 1.73 “, 26mm eq., With 0.8um pixels, f / 1.8, 10x zoom, with 6P lenses. It is flanked by an 8MP wide-angle sensor, one for black and white, f / 2.4 and a macro 4cm, f / 2.4.
They manage, in optimal light conditions, to capture good images, with natural colors, with noise levels under control. Even indoors, in conditions of artificial light, the terminal really manages to have its say, as for example you can see in the photo of the cat, where even the hair is clearly distinguishable and defined.
In night mode the resolution of the images drops slightly, but the colors remain natural and the dynamic range and noise are acceptable. The selfies seemed subdued to us, probably because the images with the rear camera had raised expectations.

Video department we are faced with standard results, in line with the price of the terminal. There is good image stabilization if you are satisfied with the 1080p @ 60fps resolution, although certainly not lacking a striking crop of the various frames. the macros, always in focus and full of details, as visible in the image in which we were able to shoot a very small insect on our finger.
Impressive, however, the battery and autonomy department.First of all, the 4,500 mAh battery does not weigh down the terminal, which remains rather light. Its durability is really great, and it offers a gi one and a half hours, of medium-high use; even for the most avid gamers, however, it will be possible to arrive in the evening with a good dose of remaining charge.
Furthermore, thanks to the support for fast charging from 65W, it will not be a problem to bring the terminal from 0 to 100 percent in just over half an hour. It is a factor that really raises the usability of the terminal so much, that it will never leave you dry.
What disappoints, however, is the engine of vibration. This is a detail that certainly does not undermine the qualities of the terminal, but the feedback is a bit too hard and pronounced, and could annoy when typing the texts. To remedy it, for example, simply install Swiftkey and reduce the intensity of the vibration.
Unlocking with the face is good, always precise and reactive, even in less than perfect light conditions. The under-screen touch ID is also good, but it is not among the best, nor among the fastest in unlocking. Often, however, the unlocking of the face will intervene first, because from the options it is possible to set the simultaneous unlocking of fingerprint and face: in any case you will unlock the terminal at the first time and in a few moments.
Conclusions
We do not think there can be very competitive rivals on this price range. True, it lacks a super smooth 120Hz display and a 730G processor would have given it an extra boost. All in all, however, we have not found particular limits in this terminal, which thanks to the 6.4-inch Super AMOLED Display offers an optimal experience for viewing multimedia content, and also for gaming, also thanks to the double speaker. Good under all departments, it is a real joy for autonomy and charging speed.
