He did it a couple of years ago with the Hammerhead model, which here at macitynet we reviewed in the version for iOS and is now trying again a more wide-ranging version, fully compatible with iOS, Android and generally any Bluetooth device.

Technically, Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds are a type of true wirless bluetooth headphones whose shape recalls the much more famous Apple Airpods with the choice not to opt for an In-ear model (very popular for this type of hardware) but to keep a design of such as “Earbuds / earphones”, which do not fit into the ear canal but use the smallest part of the external ear.
The headphones arrive inside a plastic cradle, which acts as a transport container (it would be too small otherwise) and also as a partial recharge when not in use, a small USB-C cable for charging the cradle, an optional cover in rubber and an instruction manual for the preliminary operations: most of the work is still carried out by the App of the same name.
Support app
The App, in itself, performs the function of defining the type of sound equalization, checks the firmware update (very important factor because new functions may arrive in the future) but also accompanies the user in the first steps for the headphone control via touch, as we will see, with short tutorials.
That said, the App is not strictly necessary for use and we can safely use it on a device where it is not there, even if for the same reason at least one device should have it, at least for checking every now and then.
The connection takes place via Bluetooth, in the same way on iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac or Windows PC: on this we regret that there is no way, on the part of the App, to control the device that reproduces the sound, a very useful factor in voyage.
The cradle
Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds are comfortable, very comfortable so that once worn by the writer, who is not used to this type of headphones every day (also because he uses several for work) they literally disappear and from time to time you check them with the hand to see if they are still there.
The cradle houses the headphones in reverse (the right earphone is placed on the left) and, since there is no proximity sensor, disconnection occurs when they are in the cradle and the lid is closed.
The pairing has never given problems and the latency is not perceptible even in games (for iPhone, with declared times of 60 ms) but all in all the quality of the cradle could have been better.
Let's be clear, we are talking about a Razer product, whose quality is expected to be a high standard, except that the cradle is comfortable but the flap is too weak and the feeling is not good.
Speaking of standards, the Razer logo drawn on the touch surface that you see in the picture does not light up (for those who ask), a factor obviously due to energy saving but which we would have preferred to be able to choose via the App.
The battery life is estimated at 16 hours a day, interspersed with some recharges here and there: from a three-day Milan-Salerno-Rome-Milan trip, we can endorse the duration, during which the recharge was made solely and exclusively of night (from late night to morning, it takes 1.5 hours to fully charge).
Musically speaking
The musical quality is, without a doubt, the strong point of these headphones. Pressed with different types of songs, they never wavered and with great satisfaction results, despite the very small size.
The equalizer is very good and in some songs “pumping” the lower frequencies has offered an interesting way of listening, on this the younger ones will certainly find much more interesting aspects than the writer: however, to change the equalizer it is necessary to use the App and unless you appreciate it regardless the sound can become heavy in the long run.
Good touch: there are several options, such as playback control and voice assistant call, as well as phone call control (by the way, the voice response of the microphone is also good).
Considerations
As a first product in this particular area, we can say that the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless Earbuds are a good result, probably among the most interesting in this piece range for true wireless headphones with Earbuds design for those who want a model for all platforms, with IPX4 certification so you can also use them outdoors without problems.
A few defects here and there do not undermine the scent of a good product, robust and with a yield to the height, although underneath there is the impression that we still have to see the best that this brand is able to do.
