With Anker Soundcore Infini Pro we close the circle of tests on the Anker soundbars that our editorial team has put to the test over the last year. The cheapest model, Anker Soundcore Infini Mini, was the first that we tried and that was appreciated mainly for the sound power parallel to the size and the list price, which allows you to recreate a small cinema in the living room without having to face excessive expense.
Better from all points of view instead is Anker Soundcore Infini, recently reviewed and which in the face of a larger footprint and a not too high price offers far superior performance both in terms of volume and sound performance.
However, if there is the possibility of investing something more then perhaps it is worth evaluating the new model, precisely Anker Soundcore Infini Pro, which actually improves an already excellent product. It offers more power and an even more immersive audio diffusion thanks to Dolby Atmos but above all a series of functions and technologies that simplify the user experience. Stopping here, however, would be an understatement: continue reading to find out in more depth why it is currently the best Anker soundbar.
How it's made
Let's start right away with what for us is actually a small step backwards: design. While in fact the materials remain of a high standard, the company has completely overturned a design that instead we had greatly appreciated in the less performing model, especially for the elegance and finishes of the body.
Anker Soundcore Infini Pro (which from this moment, for the convenience of the writer, we will shorten to Infini Pro) in fact does not have a metal chassis or at least this is not what you see on the outside: it is in fact covered entirely in fabric, of excellent invoice yes but also a real magnet for dust, making it much more difficult to dust at the same time. The impression is that in the long run this choice can lead to faster wear and an aging of the fabrics that the Infini soundbar, due to its different conformation, does not suffer.
Constructive choices aside, with Infini Pro the design also changes: this soundbar in fact has much more tapered lines and strongly rounded edges, maintaining a certain level of elegance that however leaves a little bitterness in the mouth: if you compare Infini side by side and Infini Pro, from an aesthetic point of view you get the impression that the Pro soundbar is not the one that bears its name. However, you just have to turn it on to immediately change your mind: but we will deepen this in the right section.
For the rest, this soundbar (with dimensions of 93 x 12 x 6 centimeters) has a linear area on the wider facade that collects, on one side, the buttons to activate the main functions and, on the other, the relative LED indicators . On the sides there are two large cavities that represent the two subwoofers dedicated to the diffusion of low frequencies, while the connections are all located at the rear.
Here, inside a large cavity, are located the input for the power supply, the optical and AUX in port for audio, a USB socket for firmware updates and two HDMI ports, one IN and the other OUT (ARC). On the bottom there are two large rubber feet to prevent it from slipping following a small bump in case you choose to place it on the TV cabinet. Alternatively, it is also possible to fix it to the wall: in fact, the package contains two plates complete with plugs and screws (together with the diagram to make the marks on the wall without making mistakes).

How to connect Anker Soundcore Infini Pro
The soundbar can be connected to a multimedia player in five different ways.
Connection via Aux-RCA audio cable To connect Infini Pro to televisions that do not have an optical audio output there is the AUX socket, to which you can decide to connect a 3.5mm jack-jack cable or a jack-RCA cable (cables are not included) thus arranging of the two white and red cables to be connected to the respective ports normally positioned on the back or on one of the two sides of the TV.
Connection via optical cable To connect the soundbar to televisions equipped with an optical audio output, simply use the relative cable (not included in the package) by connecting one of the two ends to the optical audio jack of the soundbar and the other end to the optical audio output (OPT OUT) of the television. .
HDMI IN connection Through the HDMI IN socket it is possible to connect the soundbar to a DVD player or to any other multimedia device equipped with an HDMI socket and already correctly connected to the TV. Just use the HDMI cable included in the soundbar package.
Connection via Bluetooth It is possible to connect the soundbar to televisions equipped with Bluetooth by activating the wireless mode (just press the “B” button on the remote control) and searching for the speaker from the nearby Bluetooth devices menu. This mode obviously allows you to connect the soundbar to any Bluetooth device, even smartphones and tablets. In this way it is therefore possible to temporarily transform it into a stereo for the living room or to watch a movie from the tablet while enjoying superior sound.
The soundbar is equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 chip, so it can benefit from all the advantages related to this technology, first of all the most stable signal and guaranteed by a much wider range.
HDMI ARC connection This additional option is the first big advantage you have by purchasing Infini Pro. If your TV is equipped with the HDMI IN (ARC) socket, you can use the supplied HDMI cable to connect the soundbar and control its volume, ignition and signal source using the TV remote control only.
How to control the soundbar
It is possible to control Infini Pro in three different ways: with the remote control, through the buttons integrated in the soundbar or through the Soundcore app. In fact, just download it on your smartphone (it is available for both iPhone and Android phones) and connect the two devices via Bluetooth.
This is another advantage offered by the Pro version as it eliminates the need for the supplied remote control especially if you connect the soundbar to the TV via HDMI ARC connection, as the main controls are manageable from the TV remote control while to change modes or adjust the others. parameters it will be sufficient to hold the smartphone (at that point the soundbar remote control can be crammed into a cabinet drawer under the TV and take it out only in rare cases).
How does it work
The soundbar is immediately ready for use after a few seconds after switching on. Taking the supplied remote control as a reference point, to use it all you have to do is press the button for the type of connection you want (“B” for Bluetooth, “TV” for the HDMI connection and the symbol marked by an arrow closed inside a circle for optical or AUX audio connections).
Movies, Music or TV Shows? To each his own (key) If you are using the soundbar to enhance the sound of a movie it may be a good idea to click on the Movie button, if you are watching a music video clip or listening to music from your smartphone, the Music button will make the difference as well as if you is following a quiz or any other television program then it is a good idea to click the Voice button.
These three buttons in fact adapt the equalization of the soundbar to the respective listening typologies. With the Music mode, greater emphasis is placed on the mid-low frequencies, with Movie the audio is defined and enveloping while with the Dialogues mode (the cartoon) you can perceive a better reproduction of speech.
How is it going
We have enjoyed using this soundbar for a few days, alternating its use not only between music and films, but also alongside documentaries and daily TV shows. The difference between the speakers integrated into our TV (a recent generation Sony Bravia) and the soundbar is evident, as is the qualitative leap compared to the Infini version.
Compared to the latter there are 20W more (100W against the 120W of the Pro) which clearly offer greater power even if, especially if you live in an apartment, it will hardly be appreciated as already at an average volume the soundbar is able to fill a living room of 20-30 square meters completely.
The difference is instead the Dolby Atmos technology, which comes into action by pressing the Surround button on the remote control. The three-dimensionality of the sound sought by the designers is something as close as possible to that which is perceived when you sit in a cinema chair: the audio is enveloping and, although it is diffused only by the soundbar, in reality it seems to come from all directions (also from above).
Another feature we appreciated and found only on Infini Pro is the ability to adjust the intensity of the low frequencies. On the remote control (but also in the app) there are the Bass- and Bass + keys with which you can respectively decrease or increase the incidence of the bass, thus adapting the sound performance according to the context.
For the rest, the overall yield is comparable to that of the Infini version. At any volume level, you can enjoy all the three-dimensionality and clarity of sound that no built-in speaker in the TV is able to offer. The voices but also the ambient sounds bring movies and TV programs to life in a whole new way and with an indisputable quality.
Conclusions
Buying it or not depends on the budget you have available. Each of Anker's three soundbars offer much better sound than the speakers built into televisions, so if the passion for movies and TV series is there, then it's worth investing even the least for a soundbar of this range.
If there is the possibility, then with the Infini model you will get a product with an excellent quality / price ratio that you will hardly want to replace in the coming years. But if you have an LG, Vizio or Philips TV with HDMI OUT (ARC) socket or any Dolby Atmos source then you should seriously consider investing a little more to buy Infini Pro.
With this model, you can clearly get the best both from the point of view of sound performance – between Dolby Atmos audio and bass adjustment – and as regards the control and management of functions via the TV remote control or smartphone thanks to the Soundcore app. .
