Just as when you buy an iPhone you immediately think of the protective cover, even when you buy a Macbook, or a notebook in general, you immediately think of a case. Not only to protect the device, but also to make it easier to transport. Today we put the Inateck bag for 13-inch notebooks to the test.
Inateck is well known in the panorama of felt bags and cases, and even the one on test is no exception. It has external dimensions equal to 34.5 x 25.5 x 4 cm, while the internal dimensions are equal to 33 x 24 x 2 cm. This means that it is perfectly compatible with devices that have displays of up to 13.3 inches. As an example, the bag is ideal for Macbook Air (A1369 / A1406 / A1466 / A1496 / A1181) and also new MacBook Air 2018 that we used during the test, or MacBook Pro 2012-2015 (models A1425 / A1437 / A1502) , MacBook Pro 2016/2017/2018 (A1706 / A1708 / A1989), but also iPad Pro 12.9 inch. Of course, the bag is also compatible with similarly sized Windows notebooks, such as Surface laptops.
The bag offers, in addition to the housing for the notebook itself, also two front pockets, and a longer one on the back. Overall it has a truly original design, similar to a vintage bag, but with a modern minimalism, really interesting and beautiful to the eye.
As for the two front pockets, they are absolutely useful for housing the battery charger and any cables, but they are roomy enough for any smartphone or small e-reader. Unfortunately, they hardly fit an iPad mini, having to pull the upper tab a little too hard. If the tablet has a case then it is still possible to insert it in the pocket, but close it.
Fortunately, it is present on the back of the larger bag, with a zipper, able to hold the iPad mini, a Kindle or other objects, such as your own agenda. Overall, therefore, space is certainly not lacking, and in the front pockets it is also possible to insert accessories, such as a mouse for example. Beautiful, comfortable and spacious therefore.
Unlike the sleeves, the Inateck bag under test is equipped with a handle, made of PU leather, well finished, rather solid and robust. Inside, however, soft cloth padding, which guarantees maximum safety to avoid scratching the laptop. The bag also has a double zip opening, easy to open, sliding and convenient for opening and closing. Unfortunately, the shoulder strap is absent.
The value for money is really good. Ultimately, the bag is very beautiful to the eye, with a classic look, but minimal and therefore modern. Solid seams, well finished, it will certainly be an ideal companion for carrying and storing your notebook. The presence of three pockets, then, ensures that you can carry accessories, cables and even other devices, such as tablets, e-readers, external drives and more.
