Choetech wireless car charger review, robust and durable

More and more devices accept wireless charging, which seems to have exploded on almost all the top of the range, especially after Apple has also accepted the Qi standard starting with the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. For this, the manufacturers have indulged themselves in creating different ones, and offering different solutions, even for wireless charging in the car. The latest from Choetech is being tested.

The first feature of this Choetech car charger is its sturdiness. Although light, taking it in your hand there is a feeling of strength. It is able to “grab” the device and keep it firmly in position, thanks to a rather strong grip, which does not damage the smartphone thanks to the rubber on the two hooks.

It is mainly composed of two parts: first, the foot, with a final adhesive suction cup, to be attached to the windshield or dashboard (provided the surface is smooth enough). A second, however, represented by the housing in which to insert the smartphone.

On the back two buttons, which open and regulate the opening of the arms, both the lateral ones and the lower one.

This means that Choetech's wireless charger does not fear iPhone XS Max, nor any other terminal with a considerable weight. Of course, it can accommodate iPhone 8, 8 Plus, iPhone XR, and all Android terminals that support wireless charging. Recensione caricatore wireless per auto Choetech, robusto e resistente

Obviously, the smartphone housing can be rotated 360 degrees, so as to place the device in landscape or portrait mode.

Technical features

The wireless charger under test enjoys three different charging modes :, 5W, 7.5W and 10W, thus offering a maximum charging speed of 7.5W for iPhone X, XS, XS Max, XR, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and others similar. Again, 10W charging is possible with some supported Android devices, such as some of the most recent top-of-the-range models. Recensione caricatore wireless per auto Choetech, robusto e resistente

Charging speeds depend on the cable used and the adapter you have in your car. The fastest recharge we were able to reach, trying different adapters, was 1.1A, not enough to activate the “fast recharge”, but still sufficient to provide a good recharge speed. The housing system is really sturdy and holds the smartphone in place even on particularly bumpy road surfaces, so as to make wireless charging constant, even if the smartphone is equipped with a cover. The side hooks are very thick and sturdy and end up slightly on the display, leaving it not fully visible at the edges. However, this is a small cons, absolutely justifiable considering the particularly robust coupling system.

Conclusions

Those looking for a wireless car charger can rely on this Choetech, not being disappointed. The only indication we feel we can give you is relative to the dimensions: this test fits on a larger car, while for smaller cockpits something more minimal could be recommended, like the one reviewed at this address.
