But what could an antivirus for iPhone and iPad be used for? It is not long, and that is why Bitdefender Mobile Security offers different protection on iOS, but really useful and effective. That's what it's for.
Bitdefender Mobile Security allows you to secure much of the sensitive information stored on your iOS device. It is compatible with iPhone and iPad, and protects the device while browsing the web, but which is also useful in case of theft or loss.
The application mainly offers three functions: secure browsing via VPN, email integrity check, and the ability to block or reset your device in case of theft or loss.
VPN
Bitdefender on iOS allows you to surf the net via VPN, therefore in a totally anonymous way, securing your privacy on the web. The application encrypts the entire Internet traffic of the user, also and above all in the case of connection via a public hotspot, but also when connecting via data networks.
Bitdefender Mobile Security is free to download, and without paying anything, it offers 200 MB of daily browsing under a VPN. Of course, this is a particularly limited quantity, which can be exceeded by monthly or annual subscription, at a cost of 6.99 and 29.99 euros respectively.
The premium subscription will allow unlimited traffic, so it will be possible to browse via VPN without any MB limit, being able to browse from multiple virtual locations around the world including the US, UK, Italy and more.
Payment will be charged via iTunes account at confirmation of purchase, with fee which renews automatically, but which can be deactivated at any time, as long as at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
The functioning of the VPN navigation is really simple and immediate: just click on the “Connect” button to activate the safe navigation. In the free mode it will be possible to see the VPN browsing time and, above all, the MB consumed. In this way you will immediately have the idea of how many MB remain for the free period.
Account privacy
The second function offered by Bitdefender Mobile Security is that relating to the privacy of your e-mail account, and allows you to find out if it has been violated. Also in this case it is sufficient to click on the appropriate tab, select your e-mail address, from the one used to register, or others to add, to find out if your account is still private.
After confirming your own email address with the app, Bitdefender Mobile Security will perform a check to find out if your privacy has been breached, also informing you if it's time to change your passwords.
Theft Protection
The last of the features, certainly not least, is the anti-theft one. Within this tab the user can choose to track their iPhone and iPad, and to find it in case of theft or loss.
It is possible to access through the Bitdefender web center and trace the device on the map, then being able to decide to block it or delete the contents inside it.
In this way the user can choose to make any data stored on the device, including photos and documents, inaccessible to third parties.
