We tested the Aukey flexible tripod. Here's how it's done and who it might help.
The flexible Aukey tripod is about 28 cm high, and inside the bundle offers different types of attachments. The one for smartphones, and also a second one for action cameras, such as GoPro and the like. Furthermore, without using the two supplied accessories, the tripod culminates with a classic 1/4 ”screw coupling, in order to also house a camera. The tripod is made with a combination of rubber, aluminum alloy, TPU and ABS, a mix that gives the accessory solidity.
The peculiarity, you immediately notice it, is the flexible structure of the rubber “legs” cells, which look more like the tentacles of an octopus and which can be adjusted at any angle and remain firm on any type of surface, as well as being able to literally hook to tree branches, railings, bicycle handlebars and so on and so forth. It is easy to understand that this is a particularly useful tool for travelers. It is small to carry, but also light, around 250 grams.
The tripod legs can be adjusted to your liking: simply twist them around a pole, railing or handlebar to fix the tripod as you see fit. Once positioned, the tripod is stable and solid. It is well built, and even the supplied accessories allow you to keep a firm grip on smartphones and action cameras.
It is ideal for smartphones with screens up to 5.5 inches, but as already mentioned it also works with a wide range of cameras, from DSLRs to GoPro-style action cameras, and is also compatible with other devices with a 1/1 mount point. 4 ”-20, provided that they have a weight up to 800 grams. On the top of the tripod there is a 360-degree rotatable ball joint, which allows smartphones and cameras to be positioned in any position.
It is easy to imagine its different uses. Whether you want to shoot a sunset by placing your smartphone on a railing, or if you prefer to attach it to a bike, or why not, use it to simply take a selfie. 
The Aukey articulated tripod is, in short, particularly versatile: in addition to expanding the photo and videographic functions of our smartphone, it can also be hooked inside a car to keep the terminal and show the GPS navigation application in progress, or as a classic desk stand to view videos on YouTube or perhaps make a hand sfree video call.
