If you want to add Bluetooth wireless reception to a good audio system or transmit from a TV to Bluetooth headphones Anker Soundsync A3341 is the new Bluetooth receiver-transmitter from the Chinese company that is mainly appreciated for two features: support for optical audio connection and the ability to connect up to two devices simultaneously both in input and output.

How it's made
Anker Soundsy nc A3341 is very compact: it measures specifically 7 x 7 x 2 centimeters, it practically fits in the palm of the hand and is built with a case that is pleasant to touch both for the polycarbonate satin finish that covers the internal components, and for the bevel of the corners and of the edges, which lead to a slight crushing of the sides.
On the bottom there is a wide and thick rubber foot of elliptical shape that allows us to place it on any flat surface avoiding any contact with the chassis . On the right side there is the RX-TX switch to switch from receiver to transmitter mode (and vice versa), on the front there is the On / Off button which also acts as a multifunction button while on the rear edge there are the AUX ports , optical audio IN, OUT and the microUSB socket for charging the internal battery.

Anker Soundsync A3341 , How it works
To turn it on (or turn it off) just hold down the only button on the device for 2 seconds. The built-in LED will provide us with useful information to know the power on status, the active connections and any selected modes.
To switch from one mode to another, simply move the selector towards the code printed on the accessory: pointing it at RX will activate the receiver mode, with TX instead Anker Soundsync A3341 will work as a transmitter.
Receiver mode
Once the receiver mode has been set, simply search for Anker Soundsync A3341 in the list of devices Bluetooth nearby from the smartphone, tablet or computer you want to connect to the receiver, then select it and wait for the pairing, which takes place in a few seconds.
At this point all that remains is to physically connect the Anker Soundsync A3341 to the desired audio system via Aux cable or optical cable.
Transmitter mode
Once the transmitter mode has been set, it is necessary to activate the Bluetooth device search mode s on the headset or audio system you want to pair with the transmitter, then press the Multifunction button twice to activate the pairing mode of the transmitter.
When the headset and transmitter are paired (the LED indicator will flash ) you can connect the transmitter to the TV or to the desired audio source using the relevant cable. In the case of older TVs, as mentioned above, the RCA cable is available in the box.
Combo mode
Anker Soundsync A3341, unlike other similar devices, can pair to two devices at the same time. That is, it is possible to connect up to two smartphones in receiver mode (but it will be possible to transmit the audio from only one and then switch from one device to another by pressing the Multifunction button, but it is also possible to connect two headphones to the same TV, in this case, transmitting the audio stream simultaneously on both. In transmitter mode, you can also use this accessory to transmit the same audio stream to two Bluetooth speakers, thus creating a wireless stereo system for the TV.
How is it going
We tried Anker Soundsync A3341 in a little bit of all the available modes. The device works well both as a receiver and as a transmitter, even when you pair two accessories at the same time. The signal is good and with a latency of very few milliseconds in audio streaming , for example, the music does not stop the instant you press the Pause button on the smartphone but a short time later.
We did not notice large latencies in the audio transmission on the headphones, for example by connecting the device to the TV: audio and video are perfectly synchronized.
The transmission distance is that of Bluetooth. Within 10 meters there is no signal loss while if you move a little further or if there is, for example, a wall between the two parts, it happens that the signal proceeds “in fits and starts”, up to a loss total over 15 meters.
Conclusions
Ultimately Anker Soundsync A3341 performs very well. The ability to take advantage of the optical audio cable with new televisions is a considerable advantage over other competing devices as it ensures undoubtedly better audio quality. We appreciated even more the possibility of connecting two devices at the same time, especially in transmitter mode: being able to connect two headphones to the TV allows you to watch a movie with a friend without disturbing the other tenants.
