Home Reviews ,,,,,They are born for those who need a pair of headphones for studio mixing but are also excellent for relaxing on the sofa: we are talking about the Noontec Hammo Wireless, a new model that we have been able to try recently, equipped with all the latest technologies and built with materials robust and high quality.
As the name suggests, they are used without wires and the declared autonomy is 50 hours with a single charge, but thanks to the accessories included in the package they can also be used via cable, becoming an excellent ally for musicians who need monitor headphones during their live and studio performance.
The accessories
The headphones are sold inside a comfortable and rigid case with carbon texture that allows them to be stored together with a built-in bag inside which we find a 3.5 mm jack-jack cable, a 6.3 mm jack adapter to connect them easily. to mixer and musical instruments and a jack-USB cable to recharge the internal battery.
In fact, the peculiarity of these headphones lies precisely in the charging port: there is no microUSB socket, perhaps more convenient especially in view of a flash charging on the move using the cell phone cable, but the energy passes through the same jack socket that allows wired connection of headphones.
How they are made
The headphones are made of satin polycarbonate and apparently of excellent quality. Trying to flex the bow some creaking is perceived, but the metal core with gold plating gives a feeling of high solidity.
The pavilions are large, very soft and absolutely comfortable. On the left we find all the useful keys to manage volume and music playback, together with a multifunction button and the jack socket on the bottom for connecting the cable. The headband is also padded and the earpads can be folded inside for better portability of the headphones.
Despite the sturdy structure, in the hand – and especially when worn – they are really light: according to what is reported by the display of our kitchen scale, they weigh just 258 grams, very few for a product that, moreover, appears much more robust than similar competing solutions.
The company has taken care of these headphones even in detail: for example the padding of the pavilions are accompanied by an imitation leather frame and thanks to some internal pins can be slightly inclined in all directions, ensuring a better fit when worn. The internal plastic, on the other hand, is covered with a rubberized layer that is really pleasant to the touch while the band that rests on the head is wide and ensures an excellent fit.
How are they doing
We do not consider ourselves sound professionals, but the impression we have had using them for a few days is that we are faced with a product that is actually tailor-made for users who work with sound, from recording studios to simple audio enthusiasts who are looking for a very good product at a price that, as we write at the bottom of the article, is not even exaggerated.
Distortion is very low and even through the most practical wireless connection the resulting audio is crystal clear. The company tells us that to develop them there are three years of work behind them and the result is evident: the generated sound is neutral and perfectly balanced. Inside there are 50mm Votrik HD500 drivers with a wide frequency response (up to 26 kHZ): to simplify our impressions we tell you that the bass response is deep and realistic, the mid frequencies flat while the high frequencies are clean and crystal clear. .
As for autonomy, as anticipated, the company declares up to 50 hours on a single charge, which in our tests resulted in listening to music of about 2 hours a day for two weeks (and they still have to discharge).
Conclusions
Noontec Hammo Wireless is a product that we believe is really good especially if the destination is studio use. From this point of view the resulting audio is more neutral than many other headphones in the same price range and the fidelity of the sound is guaranteed. The wireless features allow you to use them even without a cable, perhaps combining them with your smartphone to relax on the sofa, thus ensuring dual use.
Price to the public
The Noontec Hammo Wireless headphones are currently on sale on the official website for $ 149.95.
