Home CasaVerdeSmart ,,,,, If you have a garden or want to wash your car completely independently then you might be interested in the Plemo system that we have had to try in the past few days. We were immediately struck by its ingenious system thanks to which, when not in use, it can take up very little space.
Normally the pipe is in fact 7.5 meters long but, when the water passes inside it, within 30-60 seconds (this timing is linked to the power of water supply from the source) will triple the diameter of the pipe increasing its length, which will reach 22 meters .

The tube is sold inside a mesh bag which already suggests from the outside the very small space it actually occupies when it is stored after use (overall the bag is about 27 centimeters high and the base has a diameter of 20 centimeters). Together with the hose and the water dispensing gun we find two different adapters to fix the other end of the hose to the source, which is a tap (there are two screws of different sizes that adapt to the thread of the most common taps) also of those without thread, using the secondary adapter locking it through the three screws. There is also a practical support to hang the gun on the wall or wherever it is deemed appropriate.
The tube is really well done. Touching it with your hands you immediately understand that it is very thin (the diameter should be around 0.6-0.8 centimeters) and the coating is excellent: there is in fact a sort of second skin in sturdy fabric which gets wet and dirty more easily, but adequately protects the main tube inside, in rubber , which will thus maintain its elasticity for longer.
In each of the two ends of the hose we find the classic system also present in other similar products dedicated to gardening, that is the section with spring clip that allows you to attach the gun and adapter for the tap in a flash and, just as quickly, ensures its removal by loosening its grip. This grip is effective and ensures perfect water resistance thanks to some seals even with rather high pressures.
Where the hose could improve is precisely in the two adapters as they are made of plastic: if they are left fixed to the tap there should be no problems but if you decide instead to move them often between one tap and another the impression is that, at the long, the thread may gradually lose its effectiveness.
As for the gun, for the water jet we have 9 different nozzles available, which are selected by turning the ring nut at the tip of the gun. It is possible to choose between Jet, Soaker, Angle, Mist, Center, Full, Flat, Shower and Cone by adjusting the type of spray: you go from the classic water jet to the more particular ones, such as the waterfall or the very comfortable angled spray for watering a garden, one that is thinner but able to reach a greater distance, to the more details such as the one similar to the shower at home or the Cone that delivers water in the same way as the diffusers present in car washes for cars offer.
How is it going
We initially tried it in the garden of our condominium but the water pressure delivered by the tap there was not sufficient to inflate the rubo and ensure a strong jet of water. Not having access to the pressure adjustment knob, we moved to a friend's garage and we had no problems here, thus being able to confirm that for the system to function correctly, sufficient pressure is needed to inflate and “load” the hose.
The jets of water are really very powerful, the more concentrated ones even manage to push our hand back slightly, which will have to hold the gun firmly to prevent it from suddenly splashing away. In sprays where there is a greater leakage of water, the trigger cannot be kept pressed for a prolonged time since, at least in the case of our tests, the quantity of water leaving was greater than that entering: in practice, after a few dozen of seconds the tube begins to deflate, also reducing in length and forcing us to move back if it is used to the maximum extension. It is therefore more convenient to take short breaks between one spray and the next to allow the incoming water to keep the tube constantly full.
On the other hand, there are no limits to report for the gentlest sprays, such as the more comfortable shower jet to water the garden or the vaporized cone to wash the motorcycle or the car: in these cases it is even possible to block the trigger with the metal lever and manage irrigation more easily.
Conclusions
The Plemo tube wins the comparison with others first of all for its small size at the end of use, thus proving to be a valid alternative for those who have a small closet or garage. Moreover, it is thanks to the multifunction gun that it can easily be adapted to the most varied uses, from the management of the garden or flowers to the cleaning of vehicles at home, without forgetting the improvised water balloon in the garden: with the concentrated jet and the right power you can reach even 30–40 meters in less than two seconds.
