Imagine your mouse, maybe a little more refined in the colors, maybe a little more classic: now cut it in half, tighten a little and here, basically, the 3360 , one of the products on which Rapoo aims to conquer the market in Italy.
In the mouse market, rather crowded especially in the low-end range, the 3360 stands out for its clean and elegant design, even if with a fairly classic look, but above all by the dimensions, which are not perceived at all by the official photos on the brand's website; it can be grasped only once taken in hand, or through photos that compare it with objects that we can recognize.
With its 8 cm (scarce) in total length, 4.5 in width and 3 in height is probably the smallest mouse on the market (considering the models of the most popular brands) and in itself a rather anomalous product, where it is seen in the market more and more attention to ease of use at the expense of size (apart from Apple's Magic Mouse, which favors design). whether it is a product designed for a typically female audience, or for small Mac or Windows users, waiting for the little hands to become suitable for more generous products. This becomes a problem if you are an adult boy (or even later) as in the case of your trusted editor, who struggled a lot in the effort to test it.
3360 small yes, but with cunning
We want to be clear though: small does not mean bad from an ergonomic or design point of view , rather. There is quality in the 3360 project, despite the low cost: the battery compartment is located just below the key part and with the use of a single mini stylus battery the parent company guarantees a duration of 12 months.
In the lower part there is also the compartment for the wireless antenna with USB-A connector, useful when traveling, and the On / Off button, just above the safety button to open the battery compartment.
Once removed (but we should say unhinged, given the resistance) from the box, the mouse is ready for use , since in our case it came complete with internal battery. Connected to a Mac with macOS Sierra, the mouse was seen correctly by the system without the aid of any driver: in this regard we can underline that given the presence of only three keys (left, right and click wheel) the drivers would not need a (there isn't much to customize).
to give Rapoo a little nod, which on the website offers insufficient explanations both as regards the compatibility of the product and the list of available colors: compared to three official colors (pink, blue and white) declared in the header, on Amazon you can find the same mouse in gray (like the model we tested), yellow and blue (in addition to an orange color present on the site but of which we have not found any reference).
For the rest the mouse behaved well, good fluidity and the sensation of the click, while from the point of view of comfort, well here the opinion can only be subjective, especially considering the size of the hand that uses it.
Conclusions
Reviewing such a mouse is a fairly problematic operation from many points of view. The product is very good for the cost, with an interesting design and a very original shape. It can be the perfect mouse to put in your bag when you use it infrequently (so as not to take up unnecessary space) or as a mouse for children or for those with small hands, while for the average user we recommend attention before buying. we do not see it as a mouse for every day.
