Echo during a video call? Google Meet will help you solve the problem

Echo during a video call? Google Meet will help you solve the problem

In the blog post published earlier this week Google announced that users who use Meet will be able to know if they are creating an echo that could annoy the rest of the participants.

The video conferencing service of the Mountain View company has for some time been equipped with the ability to remove the echo, but at the same time it is not able to take into account all the configurations of speakers and microphones remote desktops, which may cause audio to return during the call.

But now we have implemented some warnings displayed on the interface as notification and text warning, and which do not require any enabling since they are set by default. By clicking on the latter, users will be able to follow the instructions to correct the problem, such as mute the microphone, lowering the speaker volume or switching to headphones.

Google says this is now available for those with Google Workspace and G Suite Basic and Business, but the rollout will be completed within 15 days.
