Material You is the third major iteration of Google’s core design. According to the company, this new project aims to create “personal designs for every style, accessible for every need and adaptive for every screen”.
It was unveiled at Google I / O earlier this year, and since then Google and several third-party developers have updated their apps with support for dynamic colors and more. The internet giant’s next service to support dynamic themes could be Gmail, as the feature is now available to some users.
This functionality is likely to be controlled by a server-side flag, which is why we don’t have it not available for all devices yet.
