Instagram and Facebook are converging more and more: now users can join group chats on Messenger

The integration between the various Facebook messaging services continues at full speed . After simplifying the chat switch between Instagram and Messenger (with WhatsApp waiting in the shadows), today it was announced the arrival of the possibility to start group conversations in both apps by adding contacts from all of you. Cross-app chats will be powered by Messenger-style polls.

With the function that also lands on Instagram DMs, the orange-purple social network receives “Watch Together” , an option that allows you to watch the same video on the app with others friends. To activate it, just start a video chat, go to a post you want to share and click on the Share button> Watch Together.

With the update being released from today, some details are also introduced such as the writings that indicate when someone is writing that go into action both when using Messengere and with Instagram . In addition, Facebook has added some new chat themes including “Cottagecore”, a theme dedicated to the Colombian singer J Balvin and the Astrology suite with Augmented Reality effects and stickers.
