Samsung launches October 2021 security patches for the Galaxy S21 series

There's still one day left until October, but that doesn't stop Samsung from releasing the October 2021 security patches for its flagship line. This is not the first time that the South Korean giant has decided to launch new monthly security patches even before publishing the security bulletin.

For several months, the company has consistently beat out other Android OEMs in rolling out monthly security updates. This trend continues this month with an early release of the October 2021 update for the Galaxy S21 range.

According to various user reports, Samsung has started rolling out October 2021 security patches on Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 + and Galaxy S21 Ultra. The update weighs in at around 284MB and has a fairly generic change log that indicates “overall stability of features”.

So far , the update has been published in multiple European and Asian countries. We expect Samsung to expand the rollout to more markets soon. As we have seen with previous rollouts, the new security update is also expected to arrive in the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S20 line and foldable devices in the coming weeks.
