If there is one thing that Gmail still stuck in the last millennium it was its selection of emojis by default: ugly, not rounded and outdated, in one word: Blob. “They were”, precisely, because they have finally been updated!
We can't tell you exactly when the emoji change took place, but it's something of the last few days, because at least until last week they weren't there. Finally, even Gmail web adopts the same style we have been accustomed to on smartphones for some time, in particular those choices seem to be the emojis of Android 12, or at least a subset of the latter.
Our ability to express yourself is finally safe: remember that next time you write an email (on Gmail)!
