Messenger , the first messaging app of the now large portfolio of Facebook , is being updated to integrate within it three new functions which will improve the user experience. For greater personalization of the chats new themes will be added, to make the responses to the contents shared with you more immediate a quick response bar has been prepared and finally there will also be QR codes integrated into the app that will allow to send and receive money from anyone (even if you are not friends on Facebook).
The new chat themes, available for both Messenger and Instagram , will transform your wallpaper in a pleasant and fun to communicate with friends. The three customizations added are those related to Olivia Rodrigo , to the World Oceans Day , and to the next chapter of the Fast & Furious F9 saga.
To increase the response efficiency, a new quick response bar has been added to the Messenger media viewer . This will make it easier to continue conversations born from an element shared with you, without having to go back to the main chat . Just tap on the photo or video and send a reply through the quick reply bar at the bottom of the screen . Finally, the possibility has been introduced for Messenger users to use QR codes and payment links in order to send or request money with Facebook Pay, even if the two parties are not connected on the social network. Unfortunately this feature is currently exclusive to US users .
