Amazon has announced that by July it will close the “marketplace” of its Chinese site: it means that items from third-party retailers will no longer be available, but those sold directly by Amazon will continue to be available. In recent years, Amazon has suffered a lot from competition from Chinese tech giants, such as Alibaba, which actually control 80 percent of e-commerce in the country.
