A programming error in the function to make group calls via FaceTime, on iPhone and Mac, activates the receiver's microphone without his knowledge, even before he accepts and answers the call. The problem has been reported in the last few hours by several users on social networks, and confirmed by numerous technology sites. Apple has temporarily disabled the group calling option on its servers and will roll out an update of the iOS and MacOS operating systems for its devices in the coming days to make sure the problem doesn't happen again. The malfunction made it possible to listen to what was happening around the receiver, without him being aware of it, even if he pressed the volume or screen lock key to turn off the ringer, without rejecting the call. Apple announced group calls at the end of the summer, but was slow to make them available due to some technical glitches.
