Asus launched the ROG Phone 5 line earlier this year, bringing a pretty compelling gaming phone to market. Now, it appears the company is preparing another device, ready for release.
Frequent leaker Mukul Sharma posted an image on Twitter, citing an apparent Asus ROG Phone 5S. There is no certainty about the source of the image, but the leaker who published it is known to all for the credibility of its contents.
It appears that the most significant upgrade could be the move to a Snapdragon 888 Plus processor. This would offer a slight boost in CPU clock speed and improved machine learning performance over the standard Snapdragon 888.
The rest of the stated ROG Phone 5S specs seem to be in line with the base model, so 144Hz OLED display, 6,000mAh battery and 65W charging. GB to 512 GB indicate this device will be more expensive than the ROG Phone 5.
