Can you imagine a Google product without a search bar ? It doesn't take a great deal of imagination, because Stadia has never had one so far, despite the cloud gaming service being launched in November 2019. Almost a year and a half later, this futuristic function now allows us to search for contents in its catalog, which in the meantime has exceeded 170 titles : perhaps so far they were too few to deserve an internal search? We will never know the real reason for this delay …
Still regarding the search, it is worth pointing out that this works both on the store and in its catalog, and returns not only the results corresponding to the search criteria, but also a (long) series of similar games .
But it does not end there, because Google has also renewed the page “ your collection “, which hosts the titles in the possession of the user. Now this library no longer invades the entire home, but there is only a small preview with 3 titles (plus the last one we played in evidence) and a reference to the complete section, reachable at stadia.google.com/ library. Here you can sort the titles in a grid with 4 columns, or by rows, and you can also filter by genre
Another little news, Serious Sam 4 now supports State Share. This allows you to save the game state after finishing a round of Survival game mode and then to share a screenshot / game you are about to invite a friend to play the same mode, on the same map, challenging him to beat your high score.
In addition, the Stadia team has anticipated some mockups of future news, without revealing any date and underlining the fact that functions and graphics may change. We are talking in particular of a feed of the activity on Stadia , with the best video capture and State Share, which will also be navigable by other players. Furthermore, it seems that even the page dedicated to screenshots / screen recordings will be renewed, in particular with ( finally! ) the possibility of selecting multiple contents together to delete them in bulk. And then, but not least, on Android Stadia it will also work via browser , a bit like it already happens on iOS: in this way there will be no need to wait for any app updates to try the latest features.
Finally, the May Stadia Pro games have been announced, which will arrive starting this Saturday:
- Trine 4 – The Nightmare Prince
- Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number
- Floor Kids
