Home Reviews ,,,,,A handle for smartphones: it is Aiino MyRing, a small accessory that we have tried in recent days and which, in a few millimeters, greatly improves the handling of smartphones, transforming itself into a practical support if necessary.

With its “water drop” shape, it basically consists of two parts: a rotatable central area surrounded by a movable frame. It is only 3 millimeters thin and weighs just 13 grams, measures 3.7 x 3.1 centimeters and is made entirely of metal, with a gunmetal-colored satin surface.
On one side the company logo is printed, on the other there is a gel thickness, the same that we find in different supports to hook the smartphone to the car dashboard. Holding it between your fingers, the impression you get is extremely solid.
How does it work
Simply remove the protective film and attach it to the back of the smartphone or to the back of a previously cleaned case to remove any trace of finger grease and dust.
Once the plate is fixed to the phone, simply lift the ring and insert a finger into it to benefit from the system by improving the grip of the device with one hand. The hook can also be used to hang the phone around the neck – for example – with the strap of a badge holder, a very practical solution at the sea or in the pool without resorting to a transparent bag in case you have a smartphone resistant to water and dust.
The ring has the dual function of a stand: the clutch is in fact quite rigid and allows you to support the weight of the smartphone by orienting the ring in the desired position and supporting various angles. The stability of the support also depends on the position in which the plate is fixed: if you choose a central position it will be much easier to support the smartphone while if you plan to hook it to the bottom (we also made tests of this type) keep in mind that it could give way when closing sideways.
How is it going
First of all, the grip of the gel solution is excellent: we tried to shake the device repeatedly and the plate did not move even a millimeter.
To remove it we had to exaggerate by tearing it off the back of the phone and we fixed it several times to the smartphone, trying the system with various cases up to use it a few days even with an iPad mini and a Kindle Paperwhite. Even with the tablet, heavier than our iPhone, the grip did not give any sign of abating.
We also liked the stand function with the smartphone tilted horizontally: for films and videos it is ideal. Also don't forget that the plate is made of metal and it is possible to use the ring to hook the phone to one of those car mounts that use a magnetic coupling system.
Conclusions
It is a three-in-one accessory (handle, holder and plate for magnetic supports) for smartphones that greatly improves its grip and daily use, requiring in exchange only 3 millimeters of thickness on the back and 13 grams of additional weight. . The grip is solid and the system is valid – at least for the handle function – even with tablets and e-readers.
