Home Reviews ,,,,, There are so many smart bands to choose from nowadays: in this article we put the Alfawise B7 to the test, which tries to stand out from all its competitors for a particular element. Find out which one.
Alfawise B7 is a really cheap smartband, but it doesn't give up on the color display. This is precisely the main feature of this fitness bracelet, which unlike all its low cost competitors, offers a 0.96-inch color screen.
The design is absolutely classic, with an elongated shape, typical of peripherals of the same type, and a heartbeat sensor on the back. Like other exponents, it offers a standard USB recharge, hidden inside the strap, which must be removed every time you want to recharge it.
It has no touchscreen, but a soft touch button on the bottom of the display. A few moments will be enough to become familiar with this control system. With a tap you turn on the display (which also wakes up when you turn your wrist), and you navigate through the menu options, while with a long press you select the option on the screen, and you enter the submenus.
The strap is quite rigid, especially in the part adjacent to the screen. It looks a bit “plasticky” and although it is still comfortable on the wrist, it is not the most comfortable smartband ever. You can safely keep it on your wrist all day without experiencing particular problems, but it slightly returns a sense of rigidity.
Although the only watchfaces available is not so graphically accurate, the color display is an advantage over all other fitness bands of the same type. The information on the screen can be read better, and even in direct sunlight, although not flawless, the screen is more readable.
Alfawise B7, of course, counts the steps, the calories burned, the kilometers traveled, as well as providing all the data on sleep. As anticipated, there is also the heartbeat reader, which once started returns the number of beats updated in real time. Judging from our road tests, the bracelet counts the number of steps and distance traveled well, and even the heart rate data has always seemed to us to be realistic.
In addition to the classic functions described above, it is curious to note how the bracelet also traces rope jumps, bike rides, but also table tennis, tennis and badminton, returning calories burned during the activity and recorded heartbeat.
Moreover, Alfawise B7 also allows you to read incoming notifications on your smartphone, directly from your wrist. It is not very convenient, as horizontal texts must adapt to a vertical display, but it is still a good ally for not having to constantly take the phone out of your pocket.
It is not possible to answer messages directly from the wrist, while the bracelet also signals incoming calls. For such a low price, these are really welcome features. On Android, compatibility is greater, being able to view notifications from any application installed on a smartphone on the wrist.
The application to be combined is called FlagFit 2.0 (Android version – iOS version). It works well, it is very simple, but it contains many different options to customize the goals and incoming notifications. It records all the data tracked by the bracelet, and therefore functions as a diary in which the daily workouts are reported.
Conclusions
It costs just 15 euros and is one of the cheapest fitness bands with a color display. The UI on the screen is not the most appreciable and modern, but it is absolutely functional. The data recorded by the bracelet seem absolutely true. The battery ensures a stand by time of more than two weeks, while with medium intense use it will be possible to exceed 7 days.
It costs 15 euros and can be purchased from here in the different colors black, red and blue .
