Amazon will no longer sell “Dash buttons”, button-shaped devices that allowed you to instantly order a specific product without going through the site, and used for everyday consumer products such as detergent or toilet paper. According to the Mashable website, the cause would be the introduction of Amazon's personal assistant Alexa, which has been on the market for four years now, including the functions of quickly ordering products with a voice order. To continue developing the capabilities of Alexa, Amazon has decided to stop selling the Dash buttons, which have been on the market since 2015, but said that those already sold can continue to be used, as well as virtual Dash buttons.
