Amazon will resume selling Chromecast and Apple TV

Amazon will resume selling Chromecast and Apple TV, the two devices respectively from Google and Apple to connect to the TV to watch streaming content. The company removed the two products from its huge catalog a couple of years ago, with the aim of boosting sales of its Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, its television devices. The choice had been criticized by many, including Google and Apple who felt they received an unequal treatment. In early December, Google announced it would block YouTube on Fire TV, disputing Amazon's commercial choices and the lack of a Chromecast app to easily watch Amazon Prime Video movies and TV series. The return of Chromecast to Amazon is seen as a first opening that could lead Google to review its choice regarding YouTube. However, the two companies are in direct competition for different products, starting with those for the home like Amazon's Echo and Google's Home.
