Android Auto will soon offer a recommended multimedia button that will allow you to quickly access multimedia suggestions according to your preferences. The new button appeared for some users using Android Auto version 6.6.612534.
As you can see from the image, the button has a musical note icon and appears right next to the media playback controls. Tapping it opens a “Media Choices for Your Drive” window with Spotify suggestion cards and the Google Assistant.
While the image above mainly shows suggestions from Spotify, some users in the comments of the original thread revealed that the feature also shows suggestions from other apps, perhaps the most used ones. Also, the button's novelty appears to be part of a server-side test, as it hasn't appeared for all users running Android Auto version 6.6.612534.
