Several tech papers have reported that Apple will unveil a new iPad model, its famous tablet, at its upcoming press conference on March 27. According to Bloomberg rumors, Apple should present a cheaper iPad model than usual, which would target the education market: the rumors seem to be confirmed by the fact that the conference will be held in a Chicago high school, and that in the invitation official says that “new and creative solutions for students and teachers” will be discussed.
Apple had already tried to enter this market in March last year, when it had launched a cheaper version of its tablet, simply called “iPad”, with a base cost of 320 dollars (409, in the Italian version). However, the market is currently dominated by Google's Chromebooks, which cost $ 180.
