Whether it's a week camping, an outdoor vacation or a multi-day out-of-this-world excursion, getting the Aukey PB-P25 is good and right. Recently tested by our editorial staff, it is a system consisting of three solar panels capable of transforming the sun's rays into energy to be distributed through two USB outputs and thus allowing devices to be recharged at any time of the day.
How it is made
The solar panels with which the accessory is equipped are three, very large (each of them measuring approximately 27 x 13 cm) connected to each other through a “book” system, which means that the dimensions of the kit can be reduced to a minimum when not in use.
At the ends of the accessory there are four holes reinforced by a metal ring that allow to hook the solar panels, by means of as many carabiners (included in the package) to a backpack, to a tent or in the point that is considered most appropriate.
On the external side of the left solar panel a small box (4.7 x 4.3 x 1.3 cm) in black polycarbonate is fixed which he took nta, on one edge, two USB-A outputs accompanied by an LED indicator that allows you to know the charging status of the system.
Aukey PB-P25 is covered in high quality fabric, well padded to protect the solar panels from possible shocks and reinforced by precise and reinforced stitching near the frames.

How are you doing
We exposed Aukey PB-P25's solar panels on the balcony around 12:00 on a rather sunny May day and tried to connect our iPhone 6 to 23 % of energy remaining at output 1. Charging was started instantly at an output power of 1.4 A. We unplugged the phone and tried to connect the iPad Air at 47% energy to output 2: thanks to our digital ammeter we found that the charging speed was around I return to the power of 1.5 A.
We then re-connected the iPhone to output 1, keeping the iPad connected to the second USB port. In this case the solar panels re-distributed the energy, pushing the iPhone battery to about 1.1 A and the iPad battery about 1.3 A.
We left them connected for about two hours: at the end of this test, the iPhone battery was at 71% energy while the iPad energy percentage increased to 78%.
Conclusions
Aukey PB-P25 is in our opinion one of the essential accessories for those who have to survive several days away from home and away from the power outlet. Unfortunately there is no built-in emergency battery, which you are forced to keep connected to one of the two USB outputs if you want to collect energy during the day to be distributed later.
The best use for an accessory of this type it is in fact to exploit daylight as much as possible to recharge one or more powerbanks to be used then in time of need and having had a battery incorporated in the system would have significantly reduced the number of accessories to carry with you.
