Baby Shark, the ultra viral song that has more than 10,000 million views on YouTube, will become a movie. It will be released in theaters in 2023, will be distributed by Paramount and co-produced by Nickelodeon.
It is not the first audiovisual adaptation of the song. In September 2021, Baby Shark Space Adventure was released, although it had very limited distribution in theaters, and went direct to streaming. It can be seen on Netflix.
There is also the television series, called Baby Shark Big Show!. Both products were a co-production between the creators of the song, Pinkfong, a South Korean studio, and Nickelodeon, in the United States.
Now both studios are producing a movie that can be seen in theaters, although there is practically not a single detail about the project.

Baby Shark is a video published on YouTube on June 18, 2016, created by Pinkfong, the children's educational brand of SmartStudy, of South Korean origin. The studio has published more than 4,000 children's songs on YouTube.
Originally, Baby Shark is a baby song from the early 20th century. It is also a well-known summer camp and schoolyard song in the United States and Great Britain.
But the Pinkfong-published song adds K-Pop flair and repetitive verses to simplify the subject for young children. The lyrics incorporate three generations of sharks and rhymes that appeal to people of any language.
At the beginning of November 2020, the theme for children became the most viewed video in the history of YouTube. It currently has more than 10,000 million views.
Pinkfong, in addition to Baby Shark, has other hits on her YouTube channel, including Police Car and The Lion. All videos are short, between one and two minutes, to be easily played on mobile devices.
