It is easy to fall in love with Bilikay H109 as it is equally easy to be disappointed, because this smartband arrived in the editorial office for a field test promises a lot but the limits are not few.

It is for this reason therefore that Bilikay H109 is almost two centimeters thick in the most prominent part and a little more than one in the most tapered part, with a bulk made overall less demanding by long and sinuous curves. The case on which the electronic brain attaches is made up of two parts: a thinner area, the one in contact with the wrist, is made of satin polycarbonate while the main body is made of brushed aluminum and painted black. First configuration
Those who think they can connect it to their smartphone simply by turning on Bluetooth are wrong. In this way, in fact, the bracelet emits a different signal from the one it sends when the coupling is started from the application and does not allow the correct configuration of the system. In practice, Bilikay H109 is connected to the smartphone but is not seen by the app (and therefore the data is not synchronized).
It is therefore necessary to download the PowerBand application (free for iPhone and Android), turn on the Bluetooth on the smartphone and search for the H109 device in the list of those listed nearby in the appropriate tab.
The app
The application offers an overview of the collected data with lots of graphs to view the trend at a glance. It works quite well even if it is not bug-free and characterized by a bad translation – in the Italian language – of the various items. From here it is also possible to customize the operation, such as waking up the screen when you raise your wrist instead of requiring you to touch the touch button located on the lower edge of the small screen.

How is it going
The operation of Bilikay H109 is not that different from that of other smart bands. It allows you to keep track of your physical activity and sleep and shows a preview of the notifications received. The problem is not so much what it offers but rather how it offers it.
While in fact the measurement of the heartbeat and blood saturation appear quite precise (with an error of around 1%), in the comparison of the vital parameters of this reporter in a resting condition there are important discrepancies with the pressure values blood detected by a professional medical instrument, with an average error of 20 mmHg on both the minimum and maximum.

Conclusions
Relying on Bilikay H109 to keep an eye on physical activity can be a mistake as the sensors it uses do not ensure the accuracy necessary for a correct evaluation.
The results of the heart rate monitor and the oximeter are good as well as the watch function and reception of notifications on the wrist is certainly useful, but those who buy this smartband must do it mainly for the dual function of earphone: if you receive a call (or yes decides to make one) just a click is enough to unhook it and put it in your ears and benefit from a management of wireless communication or additional accessories to keep in your pocket and easy to forget at home.
