Everyone loves saving money, and it looks like Google wants to use Chrome to help us find the best product discounts, according to new rumors. Chrome Story has in fact identified a new feature that would allow Chrome to automatically retrieve coupons for discounts during online purchases.
The feature looks a lot like Honey, which is one of the best Chrome extensions for working from home due to its ability to quickly retrieve discount codes. It's also a feature already built into competing browsers like Microsoft Edge.
The new coupon feature is just the latest example of how Google has stepped up its e-commerce efforts. During Google I / O 2021, the company announced a partnership with Shopify that experts have called “fundamental”. The partnership would give merchants greater visibility on Google's shopping platforms, in a move that could challenge Amazon's dominance.
