The NFT market aims to become the “Gold Rush” of the 21st century. From actors selling their voices as NFTs, to millionaire scams in markets that seemed promising; nobody wants to be left out of the game despite its risks. As reported by The Verge, Coachella, the popular California music festival, has also jumped on the NFT bandwagon. Now, with the purchase of their non-fungible tokens, you will get real benefits within the event.
With the purchase of these NFTs, Coachella offers, for example, “lifetime passes” to their festival. The organization has already set up an online store in collaboration with FTX; In this one, you can get three different collections of NFTs that will allow you to access various amenities.
The sale of passes begins this coming February 4 at 7:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time); and at 12:00 hours (Mexico). Of course, to guarantee your “lifetime” access to Coachella, you will have to get one of the Coachella Keys Collection —at the moment its price is unknown—. This collection will consist of 10 NFTs that, in addition to guaranteeing your access to any future edition of the festival, also offers the possibility of accessing “for life the virtual experiences produced by Coachella“. In addition, Pitchfork adds that the purchase of the NFTs will provide VIP access to various experiences of the event.
“The Coachella Keys Collection includes 10 unique NFTs granting lifetime access to the festival and on-site VIP experiences for the 2022 edition of Coachella, including front-row access to the Coachella Stage, access to the stage at the Sahara Tent and dinner at by a celebrity chef.

In November 2021, the company that owns Coachella, AEG, changed the name of the venue previously known as “Staples Center” to “Crypto.com Arena” . For their part, other companies and festivals have begun to link physical products to digital goods and services; as is the case with NFTs.
In addition to the Coachella Keys Collection, the festival also plans to offer 1,000 NFTs at a price of $180 each. With them, buyers will be able to get a physical photo album at the festival. On the other hand, by purchasing one of 10,000 $60 NFTs, you can get “Fan-Favourite Festival Photos and Never-Before-Heard Soundscapes.”
The festival has declared that part of the profits received through the sales of NFTs will be donated to various organizations such as Find Food Bank, Lideres Campesinas and GiveDirectly.
