StreamLabs , the company responsible for the livestreaming software of the same name recently acquired by Logitech , has launched Crossclip . This is a web service and mobile app useful for creating vertical clips from Twitch .
The goal is to create quick and light content to then share on social platforms dedicated to the diffusion of vertical videos. At this point there is not only TikTok : even Instagram has adapted with its Reels , and YouTube has just recently inaugurated the section YouTube Shorts .
With Crossclip, content creators will be able to select specific portions of the screen of past live broadcasts and position them at will in the vertical video area that will then be published on social channels. You log in with your Twitch credentials, choose between a pre-set layout and a custom one and decide the length of the clip and which frames to integrate.
Basically Crossclip is free , but there is of course a premium subscription which unlocks 1080p resolution at 60fps, bigger uploads, adding layers and removal of the Crossclip watermark. Pricing is set at $ 4.99 per month or $ 49.99 per year. You can check it out here. At the moment for mobile devices it is only available for iOS.
