Diablo III Rise of the Necromancer, our proof

Diablo III Rise of the Necromancer, our proof

Home Hi-Tech Games and Consoles ,,,,,

Inside one of the most loved games by the Mac community (Diablo), with the patch 2.6.0 also arrives what was perhaps the most intriguing character of the last chapter: the Necromancer, and with him a festival of blood, bodies, curses and fun (we talked about it here).

And it is a bit paradoxical that such a gloomy, pessimistic and serious character how the Necromancer becomes synonymous with guaranteed fun when used within the lands of Sanctuarium, the terrible world that is basically a grotesque and medieval vision of ours, where Angels and Demons duel for domination over humans, whose legacy of power of the Nefilim has almost died out completely.

Curious about the history of the world of Diablo? Something you can find on Wikipedia, but if you want a complete excursus, better opt for the books by Cain and Tyrael

Negromante

The character of the Necromancer , included in the “Rise of the Necromancer” package, sold as an add-on package to the original edition at the price of 15 Euros, is added to the others in the game: Barbarian, Shaman, Mage, Monk, Demon Hunter and Crusader.

The character, like the Barbarian, was already present in the very famous chapter II: with chapter III the developers wanted to create completely new classes, mixing the powers of the old classes and adding original ones, but with the As time went by, it became clear that the operation lacked something.

The Shaman, perhaps the character who most resembled the Necromancer, did not find the success that was hoped for, and slowly l The idea of a revival of the character made its way, first as a non-playable character featured in some n game points for additional missions and then as a definitive character to add to the other heroes.

On the other hand, Blizzard is not new to the flashback and in the DNA of the famous video game brand is very clearly engraved the will to keep the legacy of the most famous brands strong: the Necromancer was announced in conjunction with Diablo's birthday last winter, together to other welcome returns (which will arrive next month).

And we announce immediately that this Necromancer is no less than terrible, majestic and sadistic, and that his arrival enriches the universe not a little of Diablo III as did the arrival of Malthael for history three years ago, in the happiest Blizzard tradition of products no less than perfect.

Necromancer, blood and death on Mac

The new Necromancer is really terrible: a little bit for the Diablo graphics III much more detailed than the old one hio chapter, but also for the new powers, based on the streams of life and on corpses.

We don't want to reveal too much, because the discovery of powers is one of the most interesting aspects of the game, but substantially the weapons of the Necromancer are based on the throwing of bones in various forms, on curses, on the withdrawal of vital energy, on the fluctuation of spirits and finally what is perhaps the most characteristic aspect, the use of skeletons or golems in various forms .

In fact, there is a lot of blood and the feeling is that the character does not skimp at all: he in fact lives on a religion that controls the balance between life and death, being able to draw to both forms of energy for the sole purpose of restoring balance to Nature.

One of the most interesting weapons, the skeletons

This is the reason that, at the beginning of the saga, the comet that arrives on earth, destroying the church (which is essentially the event that gives beginning of the Diablo III saga) attracts the attention of a disciple of the Necromancers, sent to investigate this incredible emanation of energy and the fact that many corpses come back to life (unbalancing the balance).

The corpses are in fact very important for the Necromancer, so much so that each enemy killed leaves a sensitive corpse that can be used in various ways: it can be exploded to cause a lot of damage, exhumed in various forms or as a pocket of energy for the character or for the skeletons or the Golem.

The skeletons, for example, have been completely rethought compared to the old Necromancer, and here made much more interesting and lethal: together with the Golem they form an assault team

The latter, which is probably the most scenic aspect of the package, offers various weapons, including the fact of sacrificing oneself to produce body bags, which can then be used with other weapons ( useful with Bosses, for example).

Other news

But the arrival of the Necromancer is not the only novelty of the package.

With it come 30 items legendary dedicated to the new character, the new weekly Challenge Rifts (in adventure mode), two new areas to explore in adventure mode (the Dark Moor and the Temple of the Firstborn, the latter more beautiful than the first), a new mascot (Incomplete Golem), a new Banner and a new Banner, two new Hero slots and two inventory cards and finally the Wings of the guardian of the crypts, a set of demonic wings (but which also resemble a certain Queen of Blades).

In addition to this, the new patch 2.6.0 brings the usual number of adjustments and bug fixes, as well as the start of a new season.

And by the way, beware of the subplots present at the end of the “Temple of the Firstborn”, if the Blizzard style does not deceive us, a new expansion of Diablo could start from here, in due course.

Some of the passive skills

Considerations

The arrival of the Necromancer in Diablo III revives a brand for the umpteenth time, giving it strength and a renewed desire to try and try again all the corners and monsters present, facing them in a completely new world.

of the character is exciting, but complex and not to be underestimated: some spells are very complex in their mechanics and it is often necessary to kill at least a hundred small and large monsters to fully understand their potential.

Overall a good add-on package at a price, all in all, contained for a saga that seems to have a lot to say to date.

Readers can purchase the “Rise of the Necromancer” package directly from inside the Diablo III game, which can also be tried for free starting from the official page: in this case, on Amazon you will find the Diablo III package with the Reaper of Souls expansion in offered, also in the Collector edition.

To better understand the character of the Necromancer, Blizzard has also made available a short comic “The Chosen One”, available to everyone.

Pro :

  • Special effects in profusion
  • The treatment of the character is flawless
  • Against :

  • Some spells are very complex
  • Price: 15 Euros (in addition to the complete edition of Diablo III)
