It depends on how you intend to use it, but the cable to recharge smartphones and tablets exists in various sizes just to please everyone. EasyAcc is therefore no exception, the Pocketline L15 that our editorial staff tried for a few days, preferring it, precisely because of its length for use on the move. As the name suggests it is 15 centimeters long, just enough to connect your smartphone or tablet to an emergency battery and keep both comfortably in your pocket, without tangles and related annoyances.
the most striking of this cable is the sheath , about half a centimeter thick and 0.7 centimeters wide, much more than any common cable. This gives it a remarkable resistance to bending, making it practically impossible to tie it (even if you want, it is too short to be able to make even a single knot in the center). It is thus designed to withstand the repeated bending that can occur either deliberately, when connecting, for example, battery and phone, or inadvertently when you put it in your pocket.
The manufacturer ensures that it is designed to withstand over 5000 bending , thus promising a long life. Trying to twist it, it is not possible to perform more than one complete twist, also to the advantage of the less stress that the cable could undergo during a rather carefree use. Despite the sturdy sheath, it is still very light: weighing just 11 grams on our kitchen scale, in practice it is not uncommon to forget you have it in your pocket.
There is a reinforcement in the connectors in plastic, also recognizable by the red ring which is partially shown right next to the plugs. The Lightning one is quite thick, which means that it may not always be possible to connect it to iPhones and iPads that use rather bulky cases, even if during our tests we were able to connect it to an iPhone equipped with a shockproof case. The plastic reinforcement is such as to ensure a high resistance to the joints, the weak point of the cables that usually stop working precisely following a break in the cable at one of the ends.
Although it was created to facilitate the recharging of mobile devices, nothing prevents it from being used also for data synchronization with a computer. In this case, however, it must be borne in mind that the USB socket is only of type 2.0, this means that when transferring heavy files such as entire albums of music or several GB of videos and films, the operation will be much slower than the 'use of a USB 3.0 cable.
